'Messing about in boats' is of course at the core of what we do, but Membership of Girton Sailing Club gives you so much more than that.

With the fully licenced Clubhouse at the focal point, the social side of the club comes into it's own.
The Bar is pretty much open whenever our Illustrious bar manager is around. And there's nothing better than a cheeky 'cold one' when the racing has finished - The absolute best time to critique your performance and glean nuggets of wisdom from those who beat you.

Wanna make a weekend of it? Camping is available for members throughout the year. Tents, Tourers and Camper vans are welcome with electric hook as an option. (first come basis). With Social sailing on the Saturday followed by club Racing on the Sunday, every weekend is party weekend at GSC.
​
Throughout the year we have a number of regular organised events, (as well as the impromptu ones) where members can gather to enjoy the Family Friendly Community we pride ourselves on.

August Bank holiday weekend features loads to see and do. Saturday its the annual GSC Raft Race. Sunday the Commodores Cup and we plan to repeat the very successful family short course racing event from last year.

The Bank holiday weekend continues with the commodores cup on Sunday.
A three race Handicap event, open to all.
It's a bank holiday so a great time to camp and make a night of it.

Dust off your double handers for the annual Girton Double Handed Regatta.Just like the good 'ol days where lakes were covered in Mirrors, Ents, fireballs and GP14s.
Great fun for all the family.

An organised bonfire and firework display with refreshments. This year will include the annual prize giving ceremony.
A reason for everyone to get together before boats start getting packed away for the winter.

This year, we are again hosting the Supernova open meeting and have been awarded a two day event, one of only three on the National calendar. The Open combined with a coaching day with top supernova sailors.
All welcome to take part, or just to see what the fuss is all about.
