Sailing

It’s not only about Sailability:

What is Sailability?

In a nutshell, it is boating at your pace, adapted for you; in a safe and supported environment.

We run a schedule of RYA affiliated Sailability sessions throughout the season. We use the RYA Sailability Logbook and Awards for our group sessions. Since 2020, we have specialised in providing sessions for people with Learning Disabilities and Neuro-Divergent conditions, but we are not confined by this.

If you want to sail and need support to help you enjoy the water, please contact us.

Although, we do not have as yet a functional lift, re certain mobilities please note.

We have 5 Hansa/ Access Class boats and 2 MK 3 Challenger 150 boats. In addition, we use Laser 16’s, which are ideal for group sailing.

You will be supported were necessary by a fantastic team of enthusiastic volunteers all waiting to help you be inspired and get onto the water.

their time. GSC remains extremely grateful to all that do so. All those who have volunteered
previously will vouch for the absolute sense of satisfaction achieved through helping with
the Sailability sessions. Robin and I look forward to seeing our previous volunteers again and
meeting some new ones this year.
